Sterling ProMeasure Systems is a Detroit area based company, established in 1989 to provide high precision electronic gaging systems to the automotive and aerospace industries. Products include workstations, gaging and plant-wide data distribution and management software, digital and analog probes and interfaces, non contact sensing via vision and laser systems, electronic columns, tool compensation, temperature compensation, plc and pc based control panels, and automatic, semi-automatic, and manual gaging stations.

Our customers include all major automotive and aerospace manufactures and many of their tier suppliers, with a global customer base.  Applications include most automotive engine, transmission, and differential components including engine blocks and heads, camshafts, crankshafts, armature shafts, bearings, sleeves, pistons, pump housings, torque converters, manifolds, connecting rods, and more.  Aerospace applications include engine blade, vanes, disks, and more.  Part sensing is performed by both contact and non contacting methods including digital and analog gaging probes, air to electronic conversion, and laser and visions systems. Gaging software is fully user configurable with an embedded library of standard formulas, and corporate level approved by most major automotive companies.

Beginning with  Henry Ford, in 1910, Detroit revolutionized not only automobile manufacturing but virtually created the concept of assembly line and mass production of automobiles. These innovations were soon adopted by rival automobile manufacturers, most of whom, and their parts suppliers, were headquartered in the Detroit metropolitan area, establishing the city's fame as the world's car capital. Detroit is recognized throughout the world as the birthplace of automotive manufacturing.   This Detroit ingenuity is now present throughout the global, automotive community.  Resulting from this automotive heritage, many of the world's most relevant automotive manufacturing and supplier resources are  present in the Detroit area and we are proud be a part of that community.

 
 

Whether visiting for a project review, gage run-off, or other, there are a variety of activities to occupy non working hours including professional sports, an abundance of museums, and a large variety of restaurants.  Scheduling an additional, non working day or more for sightseeing is common.
