SPS provides custom gaging solutions to most OEM and aftermarket glass manufacturers. Glass products measured include windshields, rear, and side glass products. Gaging system products include universal gage carts that are fully integrated with computer system, gaging transducers, and controls. Standard and custom designed systems are available
Workstations typical for airfoil applications include the QK800 Series, all-in-one, and the DV1200 Series, processor with external monitor, workstations. Most glass operations are relatively clean environments, with minimal fluids and associated contaminants in the gaging area, thus a more industrial solution and associated expense is not required.
Digital gaging transducers are typical, as masters are typically part type masters with all transducers mastered at the same time, or a single manufactured master that is moved to each transducer and mastered one at a time. As digital gaging transducers require only a single or mean master, this eliminates the need and cost of an additional master and time required to perform a second master, as when using analog gaging transducers.
